Services

- Fork service
Your forks will be stripped and cleaned to the highest standard in a pristine state of the art workshop. Every component cleaned and checked for defaults before being re-built. Fork stanchions will be checked to make sure the runout if within manufactures tolerance. Fork Stanchions are examined for imperfections (pitting) in the chrome. Your forks will be then but back together using highest quality products and oils.
With every service SW Suspension supplies you with all of the setting a data sheets from the service this will include – spring weight, oil weight, preload, shim stack etc.

- Shock service
First the preload and shock length are measured. The Nitrogen pressure is then released from the shock body, after we remove the shaft from the shock and then drain the oil in the process. The shaft is then stripped of shims, pistons, seal housing, bump rubber all of these making up your compression and rebound damping. The shock is then cleaned, examined and re assembled. Using the highest quality of parts and oils. Finally the shock is bled up with our vacuum pump ensuring no cavitation in the oil and then re charging with nitrogen.

- Steering damper service
All steering dampers are stripped and built back together using new genuine parts. Keeping the same high standard for fork and shock services.

- Re-valve
Inside your suspension there is a stack of shims either side of a piston different method for twin tube shocks. This controls the flow of oil when the bike brakes and pitches, goes over high speed and low speed bumps, or on the throttle this is the compression and rebound damping. In our workshop we can adjust this rate to make the stroke digressive, linear or progressive. With the right feedback we can also adjust this to help with corner entry, mid corner, and corner exit, giving you the most opportunity to improve.

- Ride in ride out set up
Ride in ride out setup is a fast and cost effective way for riders to get more confident with a small change. Setting the sag will help with the stability and comfort of the bike in just 30 mins.

- Anodising fork
Improve the aesthetics of your suspension by Anodising your fork stanchions, choose from a wide range in colours… why not throw in 2 extra parts for no extra cost.

- Kashima coat fork Tubes
Mountain bike and motorcycle lovers are always looking for the best to improve the performance of their suspension. Kashima coating provides both performance and aesthetic gains. It combines all the qualities and characteristics you most desire for fitting out the bike you love, with a beautiful golden glow. Kashima is a hard but lubricating anodised coating which is resistant to abrasion and therefore more durable than traditional shock and fork stanchion coating.

- Spring powder coating
Tired of a scabby looking spring, why not choose from a range colours to have your spring re-coated.

- DLC Nitron MC stanchions
Carbon coated components when compared to nitrided surfaces and nickel and chromium-coatings display improved wear-resisting performance. Nitron MC coatings offer the proper combination of low coefficient of friction, high hardness and high abrasion resistance required.

- Re-chrome stanchions
No matter how many times you have your forks serviced if your stanchions are pitted and corrosion has flaked the chrome plating it will continue to tear your seals. We offer a re-chroming service. The stanchion is removed from its foot, once removed the runout of the fork stanchion is checked with a precision rolling tool. In the second part of this process, the old chrome is ground off to make the stanchion round. The final process is to re-chrome the fork stanchion.

- Titanium Nitride stanchions
Titanium Nitride is a bright gold ceramic coating applied to metallic surfaces by the Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process. The coating has high hardness and low friction combined with moderate resistance to oxidisation.
TiN coatings use a process of electron beam evaporation under vacuum at a work piece temperature of below 500ºC. This method results in coatings which are very smooth and require no post coating finishing.

- Fork Lowers (feet) Cerakote
Cerakote is a ceramic based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics and polymers. The unique conception used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness, making your parts look better and last longer.
